OUR RECOMMENDATIONS

Florence:
Even if you don't fly into Florence, it's well worth a day or two to explore. We recommend:
- Visit the Piazza del Duomo to see the cathedral + Giotto's bell tower
- Go to the Boboli gardens, and walk up to the Piazzale Michelangelo for sunset views of the city
- To eat: I'Tuscany for a Florentine steak; Obica restaurant for a fancy dinner; the street Via Dei Neri has amazing focaccia sandwich shops
Tuscany
Tuscany is full of gorgeous hilltop towns to explore. Here are some reccos for our favourites, from North to South:
San Gimignano:
Even if you don't fly into Florence, it's well worth a day or two to explore. We recommend:
- RiccaPizza for pizza slices to go
- Vinaino Fiorenza for the best focaccia sandwiches

Siena:
- Get gelato and sit in the Piazza del Duomoo
- Walk through the Piazza Il Campo
Montepulciano:
- Romantica for the most incredible sunset meal
- La Casa Edel for amazing sandwiches
- Possibly the best ice cream ever at Buongusto Gelateria
- Try the local Tuscan Ragu at any restaurant, it will be great

Pienza:
- Il Chiostro for bougie sunset drinks and an amazing view
Montichiello:
- La Guardiola for lunch with a view
Montalcino:
- Alle Logge di Piazza (get the Rosso Di Montalcino Baricci wine !)
- The street Via Ricasoli has a few bars that all have amazing views - we went to the La Sosta Bar
Civita di Bagnoregio:
- This is an amazing hilltop town that's only accessible by bridge - well worth a visit
Rome:
Message us for a full itinerary if needed but a few highlights:
- Trastevere is the best area for Aperitivo (go to Public), street food (Trapiezzino, for the Suppli), and Dinner (our favourite restaurants were Pasta e Vino, Otello, and Il Duca)
- Baccanale sports bar - great for football and you can buy Spritz by the litre
- Piccolo Buca near the Trevi Fountain for an amazing pizza - worth the queue
Then if you choose to explore south of Rome (it's a long drive so we'd recommend taking the train from Rome to Naples!):
Naples:
Message us for a full itinerary if needed but a few highlights:
- There are two michelin star pizza places in Naples (L'Antica Pizzeria da Michele and Gino e Toto Sorbillo) - you have to try both
- Pizza fritte at Sorbillo Esterina
- Take in the views at Castel Sant'Elmo
Make sure you visit Vesuvius, Pompei (you'll need a day for each) and Sorrento - you can get to them by train from Naples.
